Rotary Club of Morehead City Provides Humanitarian Services
The Rotary Club of Morehead City has supported hundreds of worthwhile causes and community activities since it was chartered May 19, 1925. This support goes beyond financial contributions. Rotary Club of Morehead City Rotarians have provided the leadership to make things happen, such as the creation of the Port of Morehead City. Rotarians have also provided the labor and materials to construct structures to benefit citizens and visitors, such as the picnic shelter in Shevans Park. Several Rotarians in the Rotary Club of Morehead City have been in city and county government and active in other organizations. As such, Rotarians have had great influence in the development of Morehead City. General classifications of Rotary Club of Morehead City Rotarians have included presidents of corporations, business owners, leaders in public schools, ministers, contractors, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and on and on. Rotarians are visible in service and touch many in the community. Rotarians have immeasurable influence, and because Rotarians subscribe to the 4-Way Test, that influence is positive. It is safe to say Morehead City is a better place because this Rotary Club, as well as other clubs and groups, has served and continues to serve the citizens of Morehead City. Communities throughout the world have received many humanitarian benefits because of the services of Rotarians in this club and in other Rotary Clubs throughout the world.
